ID plates, tags and legend plates can be anything and everything. It just depends upon how they are used. They can be pre-cut special items or ordinary metal you cut and shape the way you want.
In our display, the bottom four items are pre-cut .050 solid brass (this is the reason the gold color is different from the signs and plaques). These are premium items and customers will pay more.
The customer short story behind each: The souvenir "pass" is bought by a radio station for their show promos. A travel agency (a couple's name is also put on the back) uses the "honeymoon" key tag. 60 "bag tags" were bought by a company for their sales staff. A pet storeowner gives new dog owners the pet tag.
A department store bought quite a few of the bronze plates to put on a promo item they were giving away. The corners of the plate are produce with a special "scallop" corner rounder. Simple, square-cut 2x4 plates are given away at nearly every car show as "dash plates.
The "Limited" legend plate is a $0.16 pre-cut and drilled, 1x2.5 aluminum plate. Many frame shops are good steady customers. They get plates for their customer's frames.
